The Skyblade IV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a command and control enabler. Developed to provide realtime situational awareness of the battlefield through autonomous flight operations, the Skyblade IV gives you that indispensable edge as an effective, highly mobile reconnaissance force.

The Skyblade IV system is designed to provide realtime situational awareness of the battlefield

Capabilities
The Skyblade IV system provides the ground manoeuver battalion commander with situational awareness of the battlefield, allowing him to observe heavily protected areas. Where information is hard to obtain, the Skyblade IV plays a critical role in tactical decision making.

The Skyblade IV system can be operated from small clearings or compounds, designed for ease of use and requiring few dedicated personnel. It is easily integrated and the ground control unit design allows for automatic or mechanical interface with other military systems.

Less than ideal weather conditions are not an obstacle – the Skyblade IV UAV operates with a range of up to 100 km from the launch and recovery site, flying at operating altitudes/survivable altitudes up to 15,000 ft [4,572 m] for both day and night operations. Its baseline payload is a very low weight, dual axis gyro stabilised surveillance and observation system, which incorporates high resolution, continuous optical zoom with colour day channel and automatic video tracker.

The Skyblade IV Air Vehicle can be manually controlled via the ground control station or preprogrammed to fly autonomous missions. It also has the potential to support multi-UAV operations. Part of its appeal is its automatic catapult-assisted launch and automatic precision parachute recovery, requiring no runway for take off or landing.

Designed to be tough and durable, the Skyblade IV has a small logistic footprint for flexible deployment
