Quality & Standards

ST Aerospace’s timely delivery, uncompromising quality and safety standards across this broad spectrum of services are well-attested by customers, original equipment manufacturers and aviation regulatory and standards.

In 2000, ST Aerospace became the first facility to have successfully completed a DC-10 Passenger-to-Freighter (PTF) Conversion in South East Asia and ahead of schedule.

In 1995, we set a world record with the fastest turn-around time for Section 41 modifications on the B747. Similarly, for B727 PTF conversions, we beat the industry norm of then 120 days and completed it in 75 days. As for 'M' checks (heavy maintenance including strip and paint) on the MD-11, we reduced the downtime rate from 22 days to 20 days.

In every case we have matched, if not surpassed client specifications and industry best standards, while maintaining an enviable safety record. These are but mere instances of the kind of quality that we challenge ourselves to attain for our customers as less downtime means more revenue for you.

In addition, our commercial and military facilities are cross-equipped and regularly audited. Stringent quality controls and procedures earn us recognition and airworthiness approvals from international airworthiness authorities including the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and many major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

We believe that quality has to be pursued in totality. The many on-going quality programmes in skill development, process efficiency and environmental improvements are just some of our efforts to ensure quality excellence in all aspects of our business operations. Some of our quality certifications include ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
